A long-time member of the Kirkcudbright Crafts Association, as well as the Galloway Craft Guild, with work permanently on display at the latters shop in Castle Douglas and at the Gracefield Arts centre in Dumfries.
Encouraged to try woodturning while attending an evening class in woodworking, and inspired by the mainly local, and occasionally exotic timbers that come to the lathe, he aims to produce blemish-free pieces whose texture, colours and shape give a life-time of pleasure to the eye and service to the home.
